The matriarchal transformation of society in the technocratic age thus creates a demographic of men that is both willing to and capable of paying for sexually explicit content of young women as well as the market for it, as the defect/defect equillibrium in the race for attention forces girls to produce ever more explicit content in order to stay relevant.
Summary
The transition from patriarchy to matriarchy has brought with it a variety of consequences. First of all, matriarchy leads to a significant division of men according to their physical attractiveness and social dominance - the traits according to which women judge male status. This leads to leftover men, with extra disposable income due to their inability to find a bride. At the same time, the loosening of restrictions on female sexuality in tandem with today’s “hustle economy” leads to extreme attention seeking behavior, manifesting itself in the form of Instagram influencers who over time shift to selling (images and videos of) their bodies on OnlyFans and similar platforms. The optimal sexual strategy for a man in these conditions is to enter into a pimp-like (a hybrid of professional and sexual relationships) relationship with one or more female influencers, which lets him take in a portion of her profits in exchange for help with managing and advertising her platform. In the event of the formation of such relationships, resources (in the form of money) are transferred via the following pathway: sexually unsuccessful (low status) men -> women -> sexually prolific (high status) men. In practice, this means that low status men provide for both women (that they aren’t fucking) as well as the men that are actually fucking these women. This transfer of wealth, or rather, fruits of labor from low status men (laborers) to high status men (that provide said laborers with a certain resource) calls to mind middle-age feudalism, where mediator of wealth-transfer was land. In the modern world on the other hand, the mediator is female sexuality, or rather access to it.
1. Sexual dynamics at a societal level - patriarchy vs matriarchy
Every society can be assigned to a point on a continuum that is defined by the two extremes of matriarchy (social power is in female hands) and patriarchy (social power is in male hands). While there’s plenty of historical examples of patriarchal civilizations, with practically every great civilization, from ancient Greece and Rome to the European empires of the new age, there are no good matriarchal equivalents. BAP notes the existence of matriarchies in pre-Aryan times, where the longhouse life of beaten and demoralized men ruled over by women and elders was the norm. However, this type of system was eventually conquered by the masculine principle, as in my opinion the way of nature. As we will see later in this essay, matriarchy is always just a transitory phase. If we return back to patriarchal systems, it is interesting to note that whenever these empires slid towards matriarchy via emancipation and sexual liberation of women, collapse soon followed.
It is my opinion, but should also be quite evident that all prolific civilizations are a result of patriarchy. There’s multiple reasons for this, but the following two stand out as most important:
The concept of private property - property is the foundation of all civilizations (communism not included, as it is always a return to matriarchy) and is predicated on a masculine social order. Men compete for ownership of space, because said ownership gives them right to access to resources and reproduction in this space. When a man has his own property, where he can store his food, he can also keep his wife there and thus make sure her child is his child. Women don’t need any such reassurance, therefore don’t need to own property, as they give birth to their children - which is why primitive matriarchies are collectivist.
Matriarchy inevitably evolves into pseudo-matriarchy, where ultimate social power is in the hands of a small, elite group of men (hence, communism as matriarchy). The rest of the population is ordered matrairchically. This is a consequence of lesser “will to power”, or in more concrete terms, lesser tendency to acquire direct power and own space in women, compared to men. This is obviously a result of differences in reproductive biology (and perhaps some higher order principles that I will not explore in this essay) between the sexes. As a consequence, the matriarchy inevitably surrenders power to a group of men (just like individual women in power always defer to a male figure in their lives), however this group of men perpetuates the overall matriarchal social order to prevent rival men from supplanting them.
Matriarchal and patriarchal social orders differ from one another in multiple aspect, but the most important are the following ones:
The essence of both social orders is the suppression of the opposite sex’ imperative and the maximization of its own sexual imperative. Patriarchy thus limits women to fulfill the male sexual imperative and vice versa in matriarchy. As most people who read this probably already know, the female imperative is hypergamy - reproduction with the best quality man she has access to (see figure 1). In practice, this results in a division of men into an elite class and a worker class, based on sexual desirability. The elite men have sexual access to most of the women, whereas the majority of men remain sexless and must work to provide for the rest of the population. This is however a very unstable order, as sexually frustrated men inevitably turn to antisocial behavior, as such strong restrictions on male behavior are needed to sustain it. The male imperative in its purest form is polygyny, where each man has access to multiple wives, however this is also quite unstable in a closed system (where leftover men can not be disposed of in some way - such as sending them off to war to conquer neighboring territories and take their women for themselves) as the sexually frustrated men will again turn to antisocial behavior. This certainty is the basis for male cooperation and compromise, which results in the implementation of monogamy - one wife for the majority of men, with the elite class enjoying polygyny and a small but managable underclass of leftover men.
Values and customs differ. Patriarchal and matriarchal social systems are ordered according to the same principles as respective male and female peer or professional groups.
The pyramids of power (distribution of groups based on social power) and value (distribution o groups based on importance for group survival) are different in patriarchy, but the same in matriarchy (see figure 2).
Status in patriarchy is assigned by men, in matriarchy by women. Therefore, as the sexes perceive status differently, the criteria for the assignment of status are different. In matriarchy, women assign high status to a minority of men - based on their physical attractiveness and social dominance; whereas the majority of men are deemed inferior and get relegated to lower status than the women. In patriarchy, status is distributed more hierarchically, on the basis of competence, leadership ability and honor. Again, as most people reading this probably know, women tend to be very interested in men that other men deem to be low status, such as petty criminals and drug dealers.
Figure 1: Hypergamy
Figure 2: The social order of patriarchy and matriarchy
However, social orders can be fluid - patriarchy can turn into matriarchy and vice versa. As BAP alludes to in Bronze Age Mindset, matriarchy is the initial, original social order that was conquered by patriarchy, which resulted in civilization. But, according to the cyclical model of civilizations, which supposes that all civilizations rise and fall according to the same principle, decline is inevitable. And it is exactly in periods of decline that society begins to degenerate back into matriarchy. However, it is my belief that this is avoidable, if the patriarchal social order is actively enforced. Thus I propose the following: Whenever men don’t limit female social power, the social order will inevitably morph into matriarchy. However, the instability of matriarchal social order also means it will inevitably be subsumed by a patriarchal force, whether that originates from its native men or from patriarchal invaders. That is at least how it used to be. Today’s social conditions might prevent that from happening.
2. Modern society: sexually frustrated men, hustle economy and the influencer-onlyfanser pipeline
The term hustle economy refers to the idea, that a person’s economic potential depends in a large part on the ability to make money outside of the workplace - in their free time, through a “side hustle” such as photography, IG modeling, podcasts etc.
Therefore, in modern society, the economic potential is no longer solely depended on employability, but also on work-independent skills and other gifts that enable one to break into one or more of the various hustle-economy niches. People who like to write can monetize their hobby through web serials, physically attractive people can become IG influencers etc. Before we get into the implications of this hustle economy, let us first examine the factors that contribute to the existence of the online hustle-market.
People have access to (at first glance) disposable income, that they spend in installments. This is a consequence of the modern way of living and its hyperfixation on living in the moment as opposed to a healthier, more time-sensitive way of living.
The mainstream market doesn’t sate people’s needs to the same extent that these needs pop up, creating a budget that can be spent for services on the hustle-market.
Let’s return to the implications of the modern hustle economy, first by reminding ourselves of the fact that societies regress into matriarchy whenever patriarchy is not being actively maintained. I think it’s clear that the Western world has been, for the last century, not simply regressing into matriarchy, but actively destroying patriarchal institutions and thus actively moving towards matriarchy. In case this is not clear, let’s look at a few examples.
Voting rights for women
“Equality” in the workplace through affirmative action
The sexual revolution, set off by the contraceptive pill. The pill levels the playing field concerning the immediate consequences of casual sex for men and women. Of course, the pill affects the female body in many more ways than just preventing pregnancy, but most women don’t know about it, or simply don’t care
Legalized abortion is more of the same. Together with the pill, today’s women have a historically unmatched level of freedom from consequence when it comes to casual sexual encounters
“Movements” like #metoo and #yesmeansyes are examples of the excessive constraints being put on male sexuality, which severely limits the ability of the average man to pursue meaningful sexual relationships, thus maximising the female imperative
In short, ever since the 20th century we have been rapidly moving toward ever more extreme matriarchy, with modern society being one of the most extreme examples of matriarchal social orders in human history.
The consequence of this matriarchal social order and consequent maximisation of the female sexual imperative is that men are assigned status by women, which leads to a segregation of the male population into two classes - desirable (minority) and undesirable (majority) - based on their physical attractiveness and social dominance. This is not a deliberate or conscious process, it is merely an emergent phenomenon that has its basis in the female conception of male status and sexual desirability (see figure 3).
The smaller group of desirable men enjoys practically unlimited choice when it comes to sexual partners, which is exacerbated by the common usage of dating apps (more men to choose from means the segregation is stricter - someone who passes for desirable within a population of 200 men might not pass for desirable in a population of 2000 men). The larger group of undesirables however end up alone with no sexual partner, no “loved one” or “significant other”, no positive female attention and importantly for this analysis - nobody to take on couple activities. In practice, this leads to a significant number of lonely, sexually frustrated young men with disposable income.
Figure 3: How men and women rate each other’s attractiveness
The absence of constraints on female behavior leaves women, especially young women, absolutely free to follow their sexual imperative. In practice, this leads to them seeking to maximize male attention (from as many men as possible), while looking for the ideal man to father her child. Again, this is not a conscious process and it doesn’t result in the satiation of the needs that set it in motion. In the modern world, trying to maximize male attention (given to oneself as a woman) means seeking virtual representations of attention - likes, comments and shares on internet platforms such as Instagram and tiktok, searching for the ideal man (or mr Right, as they like to call him) means serial entering into temporary relationships with the most socially dominant man in her social groups.
Let’s first examine the phenomenon of seeking virtual representations of attention on online platforms. IG, tiktok, twitter, snapchat - all of these apps serve the core function of gaining the attention of other people by showcasing attention-worthy aspects of our lives. For a young woman, her most attention-worthy quality is often her beauty, so she uploads photos and videos to show the world how beautiful they are. However, not all girls are equally beautiful, so some get more attention than others. At the same time, it is reasonable to assume that they all want attention to the same extent. This means that the less attractive ones need to find some comparable advantage in order to level the playing field with their more attractive peers. Now, one option is to enter spaces (such as gaming) where women are scarce and thus increase their relative attractiveness, but these days the more common one is to trend toward ever more explicitly sexual content. And once the first girl starts posting explicit content, everyone else must follow suit in order to reestablish the initial hierarchy of attention-worthyness. This is an example of a defect/defect equillibrium in the race to maximise one’s relative attractiveness (I will elaborate on this in a future post), similar to the use of makeup for women or steroids for men. While exceeding a certain treshold of explicitness means one can no longer post these images on IG, these days platforms like OnlyFans offer a place to post softcore pornography to monthly subscribers once this treshold is breached. And the main reason this is possible is exactly the phenomenon described earlier - the multitude of lonely and sexually frustrated young men with disposable income, that emerged as a result of the matriarchal social order of modern society. These men sublimate their sexual frustration by buying images and videos of young women on the internet and they cure their loneliness by entering into parasocial relationships with e-girls with the intent to simulate having a girlfriend to share their lives with. All of this is financed with the money that would otherwise be spent on an actual girlfriend or on building a life with their wife.
The matriarchal transformation of society in the technocratic age thus creates a demographic of men that is both willing to and capable of paying for sexually explicit content of young women as well as the market for it, as the defect/defect equillibrium in the race for attention forces girls to produce ever more explicit content in order to stay relevant (see Belle Delphine’s eventual posting of pornography, as an example). Although, how exactly do the desirable and sexually prolific men tie in to this? Most of them just enjoy the easy and frequent sex that is a result of this decline of the West, but crafty individuals can profit from this situation to a great extent.
I’m talking, of course, about the phenomenon of pimps, except transposed into the context of modern technological society. The elite, sexually prolific class of men with access to a large number of women can given enough social dominance get their sexual partners to enter a pimp-prostitute relationship with them (assuming they can sell it to these women in the right way). These types of relationships have always existed, but in the modern age, they can be all the more profitable. Let’s examine what a relationship between pimp and his girls looks like. The man manages the clients and earnings of his girls and takes a portion of their earnings. In exchange, these women are (more or less) safe, taken care of and provided for and (most importantly) don’t need to think about the logistical minutia of their practice. In the context of OnlyFans and similar platforms, this means that the man takes care of the camera work and the uploading of content, as well as managing the platform and perhaps interacting with followers. In exchange, he gets a portion of the monthly income.
The main difference is that this represents a massive transfer of wealth from the working class of men to women, at an unprecedented scale. And because a portion of this money is funneled to the elite class of men it also represents a transfer of money from low status men to high status men. In short, low status men (simps) pay for sexually explicit content, thus financing the women they want to fuck, but cant; as well as the men that are actually fucking these women. Alpha fucks, beta bucks.
In other words, cancel your fucking OnlyFans subscription.
To conclude, it is imperative to draw a parallel between this social order and one that was present in our history.
3. Feudalism and sexual feudalism
The essence of feudalism is in the assymetrical relationship between lord and vassal, where the vassal obtains land in exchange for service, but must donate a portion of his crop to his lord. In more abstract terms, feudalism is a system where a high status man that owns a resource, lends said resource to low status men in exchange for the fruits of these men’s labor. The system I described in the previous section is conceptually very similar to this formulation of feudalism. High status men that engage in pimp-esque relationships with women own these women’s sexuality, which they then lend to low status men in exchange for the fruits of their labor (their money). Both systems are based on the fact that low status men can’t own the resource that is being lent to them, they can only rent or borrow it. In feudalism this resource was land, in the modern world its female sexuality, hence I dub this system sexual feudalism.
The reality of this system is in a way significantly worse than feudalism. While medieval vassals entered the feudal relationship in order to provide for their bride and family, nowadays these men earn their own money, but simply don’t have access to women that would be willing to create a life together with them. Analyzing this through the prism of evolutionary biology, these are men that have resources, but these resources are effectively useless, because they don’t contribute to their ability to reproduce. If these resources are useless, then it is the same as if they weren’t paid for their labor at all. These men are thus equivalent to slaves.
Feudalism and sexual feudalism operate on the same principle, the transfer of fruits of labor from low to high status men, differing only in the mediator of this transfer, because these are systems that exist in different (opposite) social orders - patriarchy for feudalism (ownership of land is the measure and consequence of status) and matriarchy for sexual feudalism (access to female sexuality is the measure and consequence of status). In sexual feudalism, access (or lack thereof) to female sexuality is what maintains social inequality.
4. Conclusion
I have shown that modern society has been moving towards extreme matriarchy for quite some time, the consequence of which is significant status-based segregation of men and the loosening of restraints on female sexuality. In modern technological society this leads to the phenomenon of internet influencers and their simps - men who pay for access to sexually explicit content. This act of exchanging money for content creates a parasocial relationship where many of these men form the mistaken belief, that they mean something to the woman in question. For a man with access to female sexuality (an attractive, sexually prolific man) a possible way to take advantage of this social order is to engage in pimp-esque relationships with one or more influencers where he gets part of her earnings in exchange for managing her online presence. This in turn enables the transfer of wealth from low to high status men (via female content creators), which is a similar relationship to the one between feudal lord and vassal, where crops were transferred upwards via land. A key difference however is the fact that the modern simp, despite earning his own wage, is unable to transform this wealth into successful reproduction, which forces him to satisfy that urge in a simulatory manner. Because the money they earn can’t buy them anything of true value, it is effectively worthless, thus the simp is the slave class of the modern world.
